Product Types
Strip Brushes – Metal Channel
Valley Broom produces Metal Back Strip Brush in a wide range of sizes from a base width of .125” to .520”. The metal channel backing can be aluminum, galvanized or stainless steel. The bristle filament in the brush can be made with natural fibers, horsehair, nylon, polypropylene and other synthetic bristles. The bristle filament is distributed along the backing in heavy, medium or light density. We offer wire filaments in steel, stainless steel, bronze and phosphorus bronze wire. For custom applications the bristles can be mixed to meet the customers application. With several options of metal channel sizes: #2.5, #3, #4, #5, #7, #10, #12 and #16. This Industrial Strip Brush can be used in many applications: weather seal, dust control, air control, cable seal, pest management, light filtration, noise reduction, wiping applications, guiding products, shield from overspray, spreading application, the uses for these brushes are endless. Metal Back Channel Brush Strips come with a standard flat trim. The overall trim of the brush is measured from the bottom of the metal channel to the top of the bristle. Valley Broom can custom trim the brush to meet your application needs:
- Beveling the bristle reduces brush resistance and conforms to the surface for a brush seal.
- Notching sections of the brush face for irregular surface contact or air flow control in the brush.
- Offsetting the bristle in the strip brush will create less density at the surface with back support.
- Tapered brush trim is for guiding or filling an angled opening.
- Shaving the ends of the brush strip allows a holding area for the brush.

Metal Back Spiral (Coil) Brushes
Custom-Built Performance for Any Application
Metal Back Spiral Brushes—also known as Metal Channel Coil Brushes—are engineered for precision, durability, and complete customization. Brush strips are tightly wound on a mandrel or shaft to create a coil brush with the exact inside diameter your application requires. This design ensures perfect fit and consistent performance across a wide range of industrial uses.
The bristle density of each coil brush is determined by the metal channel size and the pitch of the brush wraps. This allows you to tailor the brush aggressiveness—from heavy-duty conveying applications to ultra-delicate tasks such as glass cleaning.
For fast installation and reduced downtime, Coil Brushes can also be mounted onto thin-wall metal tubing, providing a lightweight, rigid, and easy-to-handle assembly. This brush is ideal for Power Brushes and Industrial Brush or OEM Brush products.
